The annual fee once paid is non-returnable in the event of the student withdrawing from the course. Courses may commence on the first day of any month.
As The Society does not provide a brochure (its comprehensive and very large website is considered a greater facility), this overview is intended to assist you. Please email the Director of Education to discuss any points which are unclear.
It is unfortunate that the science of trichology has suffered derision by charlatan practitioners and those 'qualified' with the poor-standard courses offered primarily for profit.
In its attempt to establish Trichology as a respectable vocation among the caring professions, The Society offers its distance learning courses to dedicated and tenacious students through its 'Faculty of Pure Trichology'.
The following notes will therefore be of interest to you.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Society encourages its graduates to maintain, update and share knowledge and experiences, assist each other when asked, and to support The Society through the submission of appropriate academic articles for publication on the web site.
N.B. The academic part of the course is conducted by research /writing-up /submitting essays as required using computer equipment and Internet facilities. The clinical experience - an essential factor of this course, may take an indefinite period of time to acquire - given the number of hair /scalp diseases/conditions and the obscurity of many. The Society cannot provide these to order and therefore expects that as a medical practitioner you will have the facility to study the practical aspects of the course (recognition and current treatment regimes) with a dermatological establishment / hospital in your own country. On that basis you will only need to complete the academic syllabus (this will be provided individually) and thereafter visit London UK for the final tutorials, viva examination and graduation ceremony which is currently held annually in May.
If you wish to enrole please email the Director of Education for an application form for completion signing and return to The Society by email.
If you would like to speak to The Society's Registrar (Mr B Stevens) regarding this matter, he will be pleased to do so at length
